Our Philosophy & Approach
The Fully Booked Coach® is Tim Brownson—I am a seasoned marketing and business coach who helps coaches build sustainable, fully booked practices. I’m known for mixing irreverent humour with solid marketing strategies, teaching coaches how to find clients without burning out or selling their soul.
That will be me. I'm a coach, just like you, but with a 20-year background in sales prior to becoming a coach. I launched my first successful coaching practice in 2005 and then repeated the success in 2013, with a focus on helping other coaches. I combine real-world marketing and sales experience with a deep understanding of the coaching industry to provide practical, no-nonsense guidance.
I help you get paying clients by developing a customised marketing strategy that actually works for you. Think of me as the marketing nerd who makes your coaching business sustainable and profitable. We'll cover everything you need, from identifying your niche (if you haven't already) to developing your client avatar and refining your branding, before creating a comprehensive marketing plan. I don’t help you figure out your spirit animal or polish your crystals, I just help you become a fully booked coach.
Absolutely not. The framework is a starting point, not a cookie-cutter process. Every coach is different, so I customise the approach to fit your specific needs. If you want a generic checklist, I'm sure you'll find a book on Amazon.
Yes, I use AI, a LOT. But as an assistant, not a replacement. AI helps me transcribe and summarise our sessions, analyse patterns, and offer alternative points of view. That frees me up to spend more time coaching you directly. It doesn’t make decisions (other than occasionally making a tasty suggestion for dinner), or replace our human connection, and I’ll always be transparent about when and how it's being used. I will also encourage you to utilise AI as much as possible. I no longer think it's possible to be successful as a coach without leaning in to AI.

Who We Work With
Absolutely. You’re my favourite kind of mess. We’ll start by defining your ideal client, core values, and unique message, because you can’t market effectively without these foundations. From there, we build your marketing assets and teach you how to attract the clients you want. It takes a bit longer from scratch, but the payoff is huge.
No, unless you really love hearing your own voice echo back at you, and I charge extra for that.. Seasoned coaches often need a fresh set of eyes because, as the apt cliche goes, “when you’re inside the jar, you can’t read the label.” I’ll audit what’s working, identify your blind spots, and show you effective strategies and shortcuts to scale your business.
You could, but you could also cut your own hair. It rarely means it’s a good idea. Marketing yourself is hard because you’re too close to it. My job is to spot what you’re missing, hold you accountable, and save you years of painful and expensive trial and error. You hire me for the same reason people hire you: to get to your goal faster.
Marketing & Client Acquisition
The best strategy is the one you can and will stick with. When I became a coach back in 2005, the online space was nothing like as competitive as it is now. Then I managed to become a fully booked coach through sheer brute force. That's no longer possible, and now you have to be smarter than I was but be prepared to work just as hard.. The ideal strategy now is one that involves both online and offline marketing, as well as inbound marketing and outreach. And don't worry if this all sounds like a foreign language to you, it won't by the time we've finished working together.
A profitable niche sits at the intersection of what you're good at, what you enjoy, and what people will actually pay to solve. We'll work together to move beyond broad labels like "life coach" and identify a specific, valuable problem you can solve for a clear target audience. This is the most critical step in making your marketing effective.
The Coaching Process
No, I don’t have one-size-fits-all programs; I have customised packages. A new coach starting from zero will need more time than a veteran who just needs a few tweaks here and there.. Typically, a client works with me for between six and nine months, but we'll determine the exact length and cadence that suits your business and your goals.
You get extensive off-call support, which is where much of the magic happens. Between calls, I conduct behind-the-scenes research, audit your content, refine your messaging, and use AI tools to analyse our session transcripts so we don’t miss any key insights. You also get direct email access to me for feedback and second opinions.
Results depend on your starting point and how consistently you implement the strategy, but this isn't a "get rich quick" scheme. Clients who are committed (aka go balls to the wall!) and do the foundational work typically start seeing tangible result, like increased engagement and more discovery calls—within the first 120-150 days. However, the goal is to build a sustainable business, not just a temporary spike in interest.
No, I’m a coach, not an agency. I teach you how to market your business effectively and provide the strategy, training, and accountability to make it happen. If you need someone to build your website or manage your ads, I can refer you to people who I trust and use myself from time to time.
Investment & Logistics
The investment is tailored to the scope of work we do together. We will discuss the exact investment transparently on our consult call once I have a clear understanding of your goals. Having said that, I do not want new clients freaking out or feeling financially stressed because they've hired me. As such, I would prefer you to book a shorter package and then upgrade it at a later date.
Yes. This will be stipulated in my terms of service when you sign up.
Life happens, and I just ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule. Reschedule fees will apply if you make a habit of ghosting me.

We start with a complimentary, no-pressure consult This is a chat where you tell me about your business and your goals, and I'll give you my honest assessment of how (or if) I can help. If we’re not a perfect fit, I’ll happily recommend someone who might be better suited to your needs. I have no desire to persuade somebody to work with me who doesn't want to.
The first step is to book your consult call by going here.. You’ll fill out a short questionnaire about your business beforehand so I can come prepared to make our time as valuable as possible. On the call, we'll map out a potential plan, and if it feels right for both of us, we'll get you booked in. After that, buckle up—it’s going to be a fun ride!
